Fr. Bernard Nderito

Fr. Bernard Nderito is an alumnus of Othaya Boy’s High School where he did his O’Levels. Afterwards he joined the College of Architecture and Engineering at the University of Nairobi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2002.

Fr. Bernard worked briefly with the central workshops of the then Kenya Railways, Iria-ini Tea factory Co. Ltd of Kenya Tea Development Agency Holdings (KTDA) and the lubes department of Mobil Oil. In May 2003, Fr. Bernard joined Strathmore Education Trust to initiate what would later develop into Eastlands College of Technology.

In August 2013, he proceeded to the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain where he was awarded a licentiate in Moral and Spiritual Theology in June 2018. He is in the process of defending his PhD in Moral Theology. He was ordained a Priest of the Prelature of Opus Dei in May 2019. After a stint of pastoral practice in Spain, Fr. Bernard came back to Kenya in late 2019. His hobbies include jogging, singing, mountain climbing, playing badminton and reading novels.

Fr. Bernard will now be the Chaplain assigned to the Strathmore Law School (STH) and the School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH).
