AFCODE is a voluntary, non-governmental women’s organization. Its core purpose is advocacy for gender equality and equity and among its organizational objectives is to defend and protect women’s rights through elimination of gender based violence and prevention of sexualized and gender based violence against women and girls.

CARE’s advocacy work spans all levels to create,
revise, or improve implementation of laws and
policies to tackle GBV. The main objective is to
ensure effective implementation. CARE is also
involved in rainsing awareness, public mobilization,
lobbying and following up on individual survivor
cases. CARE has reached 800,000 people through
strategies such as advocacy or media campaigns.
Centre for Education, Promotion and Advancement of the Rights of Adolescent Mothers (CEPARAM)
Protection and promotion of the rights of adolescent mothers and preventing unwanted pregnancy among young girls. Campaign, advocate, and safeguard the rights of adolescent mothers. Provide counseling and legal services to adolescent mothers, young women and girls.provide shelter to adolescents who have been abandoned, victimized and abused as a result of their pregnancy. Provide civic education and factual information on all aspects of human sexuality to teenagers including sexually transmitted infections (STI’s), HIV/AIDS education and family planning to adolescents. Provide life skills to teen mothers which will raise their self-esteem and value awareness and skills in decision making, problem solving, communication and leadership.
Encouraging women to develop entrepreneurial skills, which in turn, would make them self-dependent
Educating rural women according to the professional requirement and encourage them to grow further in life
To take actions to empower young women and Men from humble background to enjoy their rights to health, recreation, education and employment opportunities

Enhance youth, women and children participation in democratization process and socio – economic development of the Nation;
Provide social and economic support services for abused and victimized women and children at community level.
Provide care and support to those affected and infected with HIV/AIDS including people living with HIV/AIDS and orphans. Provide networking and collaboration services locally and internationally on youth, women and children.
Undertake skill development training programs for youth clubs on agri-businesses and assist them by giving them short term loan for creating sources of income by themselves.
Assist deserving poor people by means of giving them short term loan for creating income generating.
Educating the community through workshops, debates, and media awareness and campaigns. Special forums/debates on key issues affecting women and girls. Women and youth empowerment achieved through training. Youth groups used to advocate against use of tobacco, alcohol and drug abuse. Started the 'Happy Family Project' to improve family relationships and promote gender equality.
