Financial services is an area in the business ecosystem associated with the management of money, value creation, financial assets and property. The Bachelor of Financial Services (BFS) programme aims at unifying the financial services sector by providing a firm foundation in the world of work in financial management, business analytics and skills of people working in the financial sector, community development, asset and pension management, insurance sector, microfinance sector, banking sector, financial cooperatives sector and emergent financial services providers in general. A very practical, case study-based approach is at the core of programme delivery.
Areas of Specialization
Students can choose an area of specialization in any of the five areas: Banking; Microfinance; Financial Cooperatives; Asset Management; and Insurance.
