Tuition at strathmore
The CFA programme here runs from July to May the following year in preparation for the June exam sitting (Per Level).
Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
In order to enroll in the tuition programme one must attend an oral interview at Strathmore University (these are given every Tuesday and Thursday mornings). One needs to come with KES 1000 interview fee, 3 passport photos, copies and originals of : academic certificates, school leaving certificate, National ID/Passport/Birth certificate and your degree certificate.
Enrollment and registration with the examiner:
Before you enroll in the CFA Program and register for your exam you must meet the entry requirements:
- Have a bachelors (or equivalent) degree
- Or be in the final year of your bachelors degree program at the time of registration
- Or have four years of qualified, professional work experience
- Or have a combination of work and college experience that totals at least four years (Note: Summer, part-time and internship positions do not qualify)
Reading materials are provided by the institute upon payment of registration fees.

The CFA Program is postgraduate. The readings assigned in the study program and the questions on the CFA examinations are geared for individuals who are prepared to deal with masters level course work. No specific prerequisite courses of study are prescribed for enrolling in the CFA Program, but applicants should be aware that assigned readings in many topic areas are beyond a basic, introductory level.
