| Ladies Basketball Team Beat KU |
Swords, the ladies basketball team welcomed their new coach Sylvia Njeri by registering a well deserved win against arch rivals Kenyatta University. Under the guidance of Sylvia, Swords took charge of the game from the first quarter, and the game ended 44 – 27 in favor of Strathmore.
Previously Sylvia was coaching premier league side "Storms". She was also in the technical bench for the national ladies basketball team. The win saw the SU ladies leap up to 2nd position in the NBA (Nairobi Basketball Association) league standings. This has boosted their hopes of being promoted to the KBF (Kenya Basketball Federation) Premier League in 2008. |
