Strathmore University's Students Finance Association (SFA) was launched on 30th July 2007. The guest of honour at the launch was Mr. Palmer Thambu, the CEO of Millionaire Express Ltd who gave a speech titled "Investing to be a Millionaire".

SFA aims at developing shrewd investors. It describes itself as a student-run organization that works to develop financial acumen in its members by exposing them to the financial industry.

It hopes to facilitate interaction between student members and fellow peers, and the business community. SFA worked with the University Relations Office to re-screen the much-acclaimed "The Call of the entrepreneur" documentary.
