Strathmore Writing Centre to offer foreign language courses
The Strathmore Writing Centre (SWC) is introducing an exciting part-time foreign language program for interested students and members of staff. Spanish and French will be offered at the beginning, with the aim of preparing learners for international exams and certifications, at various proficiency levels. SWC is charging an introductory fee of KES 25000 per module.
Studying a foreign language has been known to increase ones critical thinking skills, amongst other crucial abilities that contribute to personal growth. It also exposes one to different cultures, changes one’s perspective of their own culture and gives them an informed appreciation of the modern-day complex world.
Classes begin on the 16th of May 2017. Spanish will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 5.30 and 7.30pm, while French will be offered on the other three days of the week. Full time students can enrol and still attend all their regular classes.
