SBS to host first Kenyan Family and Work Forum
SBS
Strathmore Business School (SBS) will host the first Kenyan Chief Executive Officer/Human Relations (CEO/HR) Forum on Friday, 23rd November 2007 at Serena Hotel. The theme of the forum is "Being a Family Responsible Company: A Luxury or Necessity?"

The forum is preceded by a Family Responsible Company Survey conducted this year. The results of the survey will be announced at the forum and the company with the most favorable family responsive policies will be awarded a Family Responsible Company Prize at the event.

The forum seeks to bring together HR Directors and CEO's from several countries in Africa to exchange best practices and to learn about human resource practices from the best scholars and consultants in the area of work and family in the world.

The forum will also mark the official launch of Strathmore Business School's Center for Research on Work and Family. The aim of the center is to help organizations in Kenya and other countries in Africa to improve employee retention, commitment and engagement and thus enhance organizational productivity.

The Center aims to assist companies by conduct sound research and publishing in the areas of work and family conciliation and human resource practices. It will communicate and promote best practices to motivate companies to become family and socially responsible.

This forum will be an excellent opportunity to recognize the best companies in Africa and also to motivate other companies to become family responsible.
