For the third straight year, Mzima Springs SACCO – with membership from Strathmore University and School, Kianda School, Kibondeni College and affiliated residences (Roshani, Kivulini, Hodari, Glenview etc) donated Kshs 35,000 towards the university's scholarship fund this year.

According to the SACCO's treasurer, Mr John Aketch, the SACCO initially used to donate Kshs 60,000. However, members agreed that subsequent contributions should be extended to other institutions (Kianda and Strathmore Schools) as well.

"The amount is now distributed according to membership from each institution. Evidently, SU takes the lions share," Aketch added.

Mr Luis Borrallo, SU's advancement director said, "the effort is praise worthy; more especially because it is constant. The fact that the SACCO has contributed for 3 straight years shows consistency and stability. It also means the SACCO is well managed."
