  SU Choir Records Music CD

SU ChoirStrathmore University choir has recorded a music CD. The recording was done on Friday, 30th March 2007 at the university's auditorium. The 21 minute CD has eight renditions of Kenyan golden hits. They are in alphabetical order: Chaupele, Kanga ya Che, Kokoliko, Malaika, Niwara Nono, Skandamayeza, Tulasiswe, and Wakariru.

Raul Figueroa, the CD's producer said the CD will be used for promotional and not commercial purposes. "We will reproduce about 100 pieces which will be distributed among SU friends, and alumni starting at some gatherings in Philadelphia, and Washington DC, USA, later this month," Raul said.

He added the singing is great but the microphones were of poor quality. "We are trying to get professional grade microphones and recording hardware that will allow us to make higher quality recordings that will capture better the talent of our choir," he said

SU's director of advancement hopes the choir will do a tour of Europe in the future as part of the SU's fund-raising efforts. "The choir is a great showcase of what SU students are capable of and a tour of Europe would provide a great opening for the choir."
