Leos win the ball in a scrum down against Mean Machine.

Rugby

The rugby team, Strathmore "Leos" took part in the KRFU Eric Shirley Shield (ESS) against Mean machine II at Nairobi School. The Leos beat Machine 18 - 6. This was the first league game for the Leos this season in the ESS.

Soccer

The SU soccer team won the Tangaza Annual Tournament after beating Don Bosco 2 - 1 in the finals. In the semi finals they saw off a hard fighting CUEA 1 -0, while in the quarterfinals they beat co-operative college 2 -0.

Basketball

Men

The men's basketball team "Blades" won the Annual Tangaza Tournament. The results were as follows:

SU vs. CUEA 12-28
SU vs. CO-OP 20-0
SU vs. Tangaza 47-4 (semis)
SU vs. CUEA 43-4 (Finals).

Strathmore University won the tournament.

The Blades also took part in the Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) on Sunday where they beat rivals JKUAT 38 - 27. The games were hosted at SU.

Ladies

The Ladies Basketball team "Swords" brought home the runners up trophy in the Annual Tangaza Tournament. The results were as indicated below:

SU vs. CUEA 9-10.
