Towards building Strathmore University (SU) as a centre for excellence in teaching and learning: This was the theme of a seminar for SU lecturers held at Strathmore University on 1st November. The seminar was facilitated by Prof Kashorda, Dr Acosta and Mrs Gatei. Some of the issues discussed during the seminar were: the importance of developing a teaching portfolio, cultivating a culture of research and the place of quality management in teaching.

Lecturers also discussed how teaching activities interact with other service departments like the library, exams office, placement and attachment office. The seminar was organised by the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) as part of a series of service quality improvement activities held periodically at SU.
