SU has been invited by the Kuali Foundation to give a presentation on its experiences in implementing the Kuali Finance System (KFS) at a conference in Phoenix, Arizona. SU was the first university to implement the new version of KFS worldwide. The presentation will be done by SU's ICT Director, Mr Martin Wanjohi, and SU's Finance Accountant, Mr Vincent Ndoloka.
The two left the country on Thursday, 8th November. They were accompanied by the Dean, Faculty of Information Technology, Dr Joseph Sevilla, and a Strathmore Research & Consultancy (SRCC) programmer Mr Robert Gakuo. The foursome will also undergo training on implementation of KFS phase 2 module which includes purchasing and procurement, pre-disbursement, and accounts payable. KFS is a community developed software. Among the universities in the community are Indiana University, University of California Santa Barbara, Colorado State University, University of Arizona, and Michigan State University. |
