IESE, Strathmore's Business School (SBS) main partner was ranked 1st in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). This is the first time in the history of MBA rankings that a European school has landed the number one position.
A robust program, excellent faculty, and a strong collegiate sense were the main things that set the top schools apart from the rest. According to the EIU survey, one of the main reasons that IESE does so well is because of the quality of its career placement, with 96% of the its graduates finding jobs within three months and an average salary of US$142,000.
The rankings, which include 100 of the top global full-time MBA programs, were based on a survey of more than 18,000 MBA students and alumni, as well as original data provided by the schools. The survey takes into account four factors deemed as the most important for students when embarking on an MBA: to open new career opportunities; personal development and educational experience; increase salary; and potential to network.
EIU is the business intelligence arm of The Economist Group, publisher of the respected magazine The Economist, as well as Which MBA?, a guide that is now in its 17th year of publication.
