Strathmore men's hockey team won the Annual Park-road Hockey Tournament in the Universities and Colleges category on 17th February 2007. This is the first tournament of the hockey calendar.  The men's team beat Wazalendo 2 – 0, USIU 1 – 0, The Barbarians 1 – 0, CUEA 1 – 0, and Kenya Polytechnic 1 - 0 to reach the finals of the main cup.

Strathmore women's hockey team was 2nd in the same category. The ladies lost in the finals 1 – 0 to USIU to lift the runners up trophy. This is the first major tournament our women's team were taking part.
