Strathmore Business School (SBS) is training 20 statisticians from different government ministries between 2nd and 13th February. The training is meant to equip the participants with skills on how to gather, analyse and disseminate data.

The course leader is Dr Allan Mulengani, Director, Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. Facilitators from Strathmore include Mr Emmanuel Kweyu, Mrs Stella Nyongesa, Mr Isaac Mwangi and Mrs Catherine Muchira-Gatei. Other facilitators are drawn from the Steadman Centre for Applied Research.

The Steadman Centre for Applied Research, in collaboration with SBS offers a certificate training program in Applied Market and Social Research. The program is tailored to deliver hands-on holistic experience in writing research proposals, designing research studies, applying quantitative and qualitative research skills, and presentation and report writing skills.
