The University's Scientific Committee has announced the third Ethics Conference to take place on October 28-29, 2005 at Madaraka Campus. The topic of the conference is 'Politics and the Common Good'.

The first Ethics Conference was on 'Shareholder Value and the Common Good' and was held in June 2003. Its proceedings have since been published by Strathmore University Press (SUP) in a book bearing the same title.

The second Ethics Conference, held in October last year, was on the 'Role of Legal Ethics and Jurisprudence in Nation Building'. Proceedings are currently in print by SUP in collaboration with LawAfrica.

SUP and LawAfrica will publish the proceedings from third conference.
