To mark its 50th Anniversary, CFC Bank has given KShs. 428,000 to Strathmore University's Scholarship Fund. The donation will fund the education of two students at Strathmore for one year. The recipients will join the university in July 2006. This donation will further assist Strathmore meet one its objectives: providing bright students with a chance to further their studies.
The bank presented the donation at a colorful ceremony held at the main entrance of the university on March 15, 2006. The bank was represented by Mr Patrick Muthama, Manager Liability Management, while Strathmore was represented by Prof. David Sperling, DVC Planning and Development, Mr Patrick Shabaya, Registrar Academic Affairs and Mr. Paul Ochieng, Dean of Students. While receiving the cheque, Mr Shabaya said he was happy that CFC had decided to support Strathmore's scholarships as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations and hope that in future they can continue supporting other students. |
