SU 3rd Premier Plus Institution in Africa

Strathmore University was awarded Premier Plus Status by ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) under its University and College Registration Scheme (UCRS). This is the highest level of accreditation under the scheme.

Strathmore University is the 3rd ACCA tuition provider in Africa to receive such an award (the first in the eastern African region). UCRS is designed to recognize tuition providers who meet a set of specific quality criteria. More...

SU Hockey National League Champs

Strathmore University hockey team lifted the Kenya Hockey Union men's National League 2006 title in style after stunning Mvita 4 – 1 in a hotly contested final. Following the feat, Strathmore have earned promotion to the Premier League and a ticket to represent Kenya in the regional club championships next year. Strathmore University held its 4th Annual Ethics Conference at the Strathmore University Auditorium (Nairobi) between 3-4 November 2006. These conferences are organized and based upon the belief that ethics is a paramount tool for social development and the common good. Strathmore University – Distance Learning Centre has partnered with BPP Professional Education. Strathmore will distribute BPP’S study materials. Strathmore University will print the study materials in order to offer the regional market very competitive prices for the leading BPP study packs. The First Doha International Colloquium on the Family

Advanced Management Program (AMP) Launched

Lynda Baroness Chalker was the guest speaker during the launch of the AMP program at Nairobi Serena Hotel. She said like other African countries, Kenya lacked managerial skills. The same views were echoed by Mr Naikuni who called on the private sector to find ways of embracing civil servants. "One challenge we face in the private sector is we can't ignore the civil service that can perform," he said. Baroness Chalker and Mr Naikuni both sit on the Business School's Advisory Board.
