Strathmore University has formed an Alumni Basketball Team. The team, which will go by the name “Strathmore Alumni”, it was officially launched on Friday 18th August 2006 at the Strathmore University Basketball Court at 4.30pm. The launch was marked by a friendly match against the current university team.

Membership is open to all former Strathmore University students who are able to play basketball. The alumni basketball team will have as captain Lawrence Muganda, a former School of Accountancy student, assisted by Geoffrey Njuguna, a former SU basketball captain and Faculty of Information Technology student.

Other sports are also in the processing of forming alumni teams. All are welcome!
