  Professor Sperling Gives a Talk to AKPA

Association of Kenyan Professionals' (AKPA) Education Committee and the Strathmore University Foundation will have a presentation by Prof. David C. Sperling, Founder, teacher, and Deputy Vice Chancellor of Strathmore University. His presentation will be on "Kenya Right Now: News and Views from a Senior Kenyan Educator", and will be held at the Westin Hotel (Perimeter) on Sunday May 8th from 4.00-6.30 PM.

Prof. Sperling is one of the leading Educators in Kenya and founded Strathmore in 1961 as Kenya's first multi-racial college. A graduate of Yale University, Harvard University, and University of London, Prof. Sperling, a naturalized Kenyan citizen, has spent the last 45 years making significant achievements in the Education arena throughout the East Africa region. He has also served as History professor at University of Nairobi, Visiting Fellow at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies, Yale University, and at the Harry Truman Institute, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Sperling's ongoing research concerns Fundamentalism and African expressions of Islam and Christianity in East Africa.
