AIESEC officials lunch with Attorney General

AISECAIESEC officials from Kenyan universities were hosted to a lunch by the country's Attorney General, Hon Amos Wako at his Karen residence on Sunday, 14th October 2007. Hon Wako is an alum of AIESEC.

The luncheon was to celebrate this year's AIESEC-Kenya achievements. AISEC-Kenya had the second best prepared annual report for this year in Africa after Nigeria. It also ran a very successful student exchange programme with other countries in the year.

In his short address to the students, Hon Wako commended the current crop of AIESEC leaders. He said that he was very proud of the work they are doing and congratulated them for having kept the AIESEC spirit and ethos alive.

The AG said that he looks forward to the day when all top corporate leaders will be AIESEC alumni. At the luncheon were some AIESEC alumni notably Mr Julius Kipng'etich, the Director of Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS); and Mr Kent Libiso, Chairman, Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC). Other guests included Tom Gitogo, the Chairman of AISEC Kenya's board of advisors; Mr Paul Ochieng, Dean of Students of SU, and Susan Maingi of Bamburi Cement.
