Teacher Self Image

Programme Objectives

The goal of this course is to give back to the Kenyan teacher his or her sense of identity as a contributor to the moral fibre of the nation.

Programme Structure and Duration

It is a 3 day programme held in Strathmore University.

Entry Requirements

The programme is open to primary school classroom teachers with a P1 certificate or those with teaching experience.

  • Primary School classroom teachers

Programme Distribution

Day 1:

  • Overview of the Course
  • Courage needed to make a difference in self and in others
  • Maintenance, human standards and the human person

Day 2:

  • The teacher as a good role model
  • Stress Management/Work ethics
  • Code of Conduct for teachers

Day 3:

  • Education of the Will
  • Teaching values in School
  • The role of Parents

Dates and Timings

This programme runs during the school holidays; April, August and December due to availability of the teachers.

Lecture hours are as follows:
Tuesday to Thursday: 8.00am to 5.00pm

Requirements

Participants should bring with them Ksh. 250 registration fees.
