2015 ICT Conference

16th Strathmore ICT Conference
4-5 September, 2015
Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya

Theme: Breaking the Digital Barrier

Digitisation of systems, records and procedures continues to dominate business and social life. Big data, medical records, financial transactions, educational resources, transportation systems and government services are key targets for the digital revolution. The promises of speed, efficiency and lower costs to the user are catalysts for wanting to adopt digitisation. But many challenges can be expected.

The key question is: How do we overcome the digital barrier?

This year’s conference aims to bring together participants from academic institutions, industry-based researchers, industry experts, software and ICT solution developers and government policy makers to share ideas on creating ICT solutions and services that will improve efficiency in the use of resources.

There is a keen interest on using ICT for facilitating secure smart communities through use of broad electronic and mobile payments, access to healthcare services, efficient transportation, and next generation telecommunication systems.
