Moi Girls Secondary School-Isinya

 


The school has a functional computer lab which was opened in 2005. The condition of the lab is network ready although it has very few machines (8 working computers).The Principal re-introduced computers Studies in 2008 and currently only 45 students in form1 and 45 in form 2 are taking the course. Many students have expressed interest in taking the course but the numbers are limited by the lack of sufficient facilities.

The total student population is 657 students. The number of students taking Computer Studies is distributed across the following classes:

Moi Girls Secondary School Isinya is a relatively young public girl's secondary school situated on the Nairobi Namanga road approximately sixty nine kilometres from the Capital city of Nairobi. The school is in the the newly created Kajiado North District, formerly Kajiado District, Rift Valley Province, Kenya.

Formerly, AIC Girls Boarding School, the school was started in 1985 by the former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.

The school has a current student population of six hundred and fifty seven and a teacher population of thirty eight teachers. The current school head is Ms. Fanice Manyala, who has headed the school since the year 2006.

The mission of the school is a derivative of the Teachers Service Commission Mission - Effective service for quality teaching. It is "Effective teaching for quality results". The mission and vision has driven the school in the recent years to greater heights since inception.
