SGC Director attends Acton Conference in London
The director of the Strathmore Governance Centre (SGC) was invited to give a presentation at a London conference organized by Acton Institute. The conference titled “From Aid to Enterprise: Economic Liberty and Solutions to Poverty” was the seventh and last of a conference series titled “Poverty Entrepreneurship and Integral Development”. The fifth part of the series was co-hosted with SGC in March 2011.
Dr Kankindi's book on the ethical foundation of politics
Dr Antoinette Kankindi, the Director of Strathmore Governance Centre has written a book in Spanish about the French intellectual Charles Péguy. She answered a few questions on what the book is about, and why Charles Péguy among other issues.
SGC hosts conference on poverty alleviation
Strathmore Governance Centre will host a conference titled: “Economic and Cultural Transformation: Breaking the Shackles of Poverty” in the University’s auditorium on 24th March 2011. The conference is part of an international series of conferences titled Poverty, Entrepreneurship, and Integral Development sponsored by Acton Institute.
