Strathmore University is pleased to announce the establishment of the Strathmore Governance Centre (SGC), an initiative supported by the Hills Program on Governance of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). This is the first Governance Centre in Africa under the Hills Program, which currently has a network of centers in China, South Korea, Philippines, Argentina and Mexico housed in local institutions/universities committed to the study of governance.
SGC seeks to promote good governance in the public, private and civic sectors of the Eastern African region by carrying out research and analysis on governance issues, by facilitating dialogue within and across those sectors, and by identifying educational needs and developing appropriate tools and programmes to meet those needs.
