
Mrs Beatrice A Dimba is an administrator with a diploma in teaching administrators. However, she is mainly an educator at Strathmore University in Kenya.
Mrs Dimba has been exposed to work experience with the Central Bank of Kenya as an administrator both in the Banking Administration Department and in the Exchange Control Department for a period of 5 years before joining the European Union in the same capacity. In the latter she was able to work with micro, small and medium enterprises in Kenya and in Eastern Africa, including Somalia and Southern Sudan. She has also worked as consultant for African Refugee Foundation sponsored by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in North Eastern Somalia. Mrs. Dimba has attended several seminars and conferences organized both within and outside the Strathmore University. Currently, she is involved in capacity development for small and medium size enterprises through training and business counseling at the Informal Sector Business Institute (ISBI). She has also written two cases, sponsored by the World Bank, for teaching in Business Schools.
Academically, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (cum laude) from the United States International University – Africa. She received her Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management in 2001. Currently she is studying for PhD in Commerce at the University of Nairobi and her thesis proposal is on the Strategic Human Resource Management Practices, Societal Culture and Performance in Large Manufacturing Organizations in Kenya.
