The Information Technology Centre (ITC) is a unit within the Faculty of Information Technology at Strathmore that focuses on short computer courses and computer certifications that are of immense value to business and industry. The need for IT skills and professionals at all levels is growing fast in Kenya and the region and ITC unit is addressing that need. The unit offers various Computer Courses with the aim of developing and enhancing the participant's computer knowledge and skills. Upon completion of the programmes, candidates are awarded a Strathmore University Certificate. These courses are tailored to prepare students as they make transition from secondary school to university and college and professional life. In addition, we provide professional skills to our clients through Computer Industry Certification exams like Cisco and Sage/Pastel.

CCNA Security

Strathmore is a CISCO certified Center and plans are under way to become a CISCO Academy. In the year 2010 we plan to start a new industry certification course in CCNA Security. This is an advanced CCNA course in security issues. For more information please see Training & Events at www.cisco.com

Sage - Pastel

Strathmore University is Sage-Pastel Certified Academy and we intend to partner with Sage Pastel, a division of Softline (Pty) Ltd of South Africa to start offering an industry certification course in Sage-Pastel starting in the year 2010.

Microsoft Certification

Strathmore University is a Microsoft Academy. We plan to take advantage of this status to partner with Microsoft and offer the following certification courses: MCSE, MCSA, and MCITP.

ORACLE Certification

Plans are underway for Strathmore to become an ORACLE Academy. Once this is accomplished, we plan to partner with ORACLE and offer an industry certification in ORACLE.
