The afternoon of Saturday, 13th March, witnessed the first ever Strathmore Alumni Reunion to be held at Strathmore University (Madaraka campus). More than 120 persons attended, from pioneers of the class of 1961, who began Sixth Form studies at Strathmore College (Lavington campus), to IMIS, CPA and CISA graduates of 2003. Included too were graduates of Kianda College, going back to the 1960s and 1970s when the College was located on Kabarsiran Avenue (the present-day site of Kianda School). Eva Beauttah, Beatrice Dimba, Dorina Telaide, Peter Okech and Randhir Ahluwalia were among the teaching staff present, who addressed a word to the assembled group in Lecture Theater 2 before everyone set out on a visit and tour of the new Library and Auditorium under construction behind the present campus. We hope this reunion will be the beginning of many such activities that will bring alumni closer together and keep us all in touch with each other.
