The team was formed in 2003 and is currently affiliated to the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) and
the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) and the Nairobi Hockey Association. The
team has participated in various tournaments organized by the three associations and other
educational institutions. The Strathmore hockey team also known as the "Gladiators" has
performed very well winning a number of tournaments.

Strathmore ladies hockey team- Scorpions- was started in 2006. The ladies team is the reigning
Strathmore Univesity Annual Tournament winners. The team joins the Kenya Women's Hockey
Premier league in 2010.
The team was formed in 2004 and has risen in popularity amongst ladies in the university. The
team is affiliated to the Kenya basketball Federation (KBF), Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA),
the Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) and the Kenya Universities Sports
Association (KUSA). The team popularly known as "Swords" has participated in a number of
tournaments organized by the affiliate associations and other institutions.

The team plays in the National Basketball premier league.
Basketball Women Coach: Sylvia Kamau
The men's basketball team was started in 2003. It is currently affiliated to the Universities
and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL), the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) and the
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF). The team also known as "Blades" has over the years
won many accolades.

The Strathmore soccer team was started in 2003. The team which is popularly known as "Strathmore F.C" is affiliated to the Kenya Football Federation (KFF), the Universities and Colleges Football League (UCFL) and the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA). The team has been performing well in the KFF Nationwide League where it has beaten seasoned teams including AFC leopards, Mahakama FC among others. The team aspires to be promoted to the National Premier League next season.

Soccer Coach: Mickey Weche
The team was formed in 2004 and was first allowed to take part in Kenya Rugby Football Union organized events in 2005. The team is affiliated to the Kenya Rugby Football Union and the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA). The Strathmore rugby team also known as "Strathmore Leos" started by taking part in the KRFU organized Eric Shirley Shield (ESS) League in the 2006-07 season. The following season "Leos" were crowned the champions of ESS league thereby earning promotion to the rugby Premier League (Kenya Cup). The team also made history by being the only team ever to win the ESS and the Mwamba Cup at the same time.
