Strathmore University organizes a number of events through its community outreach programmed. These include:

The Community Outreach Programme strives to increase the capacity of students and local communities to address societal issues by facilitating the establishment of working partnerships.

The goal of these partnerships is to:
• Link students with community agencies in undeserved communities
• Facilitate community based participatory research
• Engage students in meaningful learning experiences incorporating service and civic engagement
• Provide useful contributions to community groups, addressing a need identified as meaningful
by the community
• Assist companies that would like to organise activities for their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes

Principles of Good Partnerships with COP include:
• Partners have agreed upon mission, values, goals, and measurable outcomes for the partnership
• The relationship between partners is characterized by mutual trust, respect, genuineness and commitment
• The partnership builds upon identified strengths and assets, but also addresses areas that need improvement
• There is feedback to, among and from all stakeholders in the partnership, with the goal of continuously improving the partnership and its outcomes
• Partnerships take time to develop and evolve over time

The partnerships can be in the form of:
• Cash Donations
• In-kind donations
• Participation in joint events
