Strathmore taught me excellence, says CEO

James Mworia is the CEO and Managing Director of Centum Investment Company Limited, an investment firm quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. The School of Accountancy alumni became CEO of the firm in October 2008 when he was 30 years old.

He has more than ten years of investment management experience and is a specialist in deal sourcing and structuring and has closed multiple transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa. He is also a Director at several companies including UAP Insurance Company Limited and General Motors East Africa Limited.

He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter which he earned at Strathmore University. He also taught the CFA course CFA at Strathmore. Mr Mworia also holds Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), CFA Institute, and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). His name as the first in Business Daily’s Top 40, under 40 leaders in corporate Kenya in 2011.

Mr Mworia is married with two children.
