Working with partner institutions to achieve mutually beneficial objectives has been part of SBS growth journey. As part of the activities to mark its 10th anniversary, SBS has designed a Doctoral Scheme with Partner Schools. The scheme facilitates the admission of candidates who wish to pursue doctoral studies with SBS partner schools. More details about the scheme can be found on the SBS website.
SBS has consequently now organized the event “Postgraduate Opportunities Abroad Series – Canada”. Participants to the event will get insights to Master’s and Doctoral Programmes and Scholarships in Canada with special focus to Management, Engineering, Medicine, ICT and Law. The emphasis will be on programmes currently not available in Kenya. A representative from the Canadian High Commission, Nairobi, will make this presentation.
The event is organized jointly with the Graduate Management Council (GMAC), which offers the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). A good GMAT score is a prerequisite for admission to competitive Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctoral Programmes in Management. Unfortunately, GMAT takers from Africa have consistently underperformed those from other world regions and consequently denying African candidates admission and scholarships to good management programmes. Part of the event will highlight how candidates to management programmes can improve their GMAT scores.
The event is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2015.
