For the first time ever, the Alumni Relations Office held a welcoming dinner to the members of the Graduating Evening Class. Similar to the Senior Class Dinner, this served both as a farewell to the Evening students who are due to graduate in June as well as an introduction to the Alumni Association.
Speakers during the dinner included the SMC Associate Dean Dr. Elizabeth Gachenga, FIT Dean Dr. Joseph Orero and Advancement Office Director Mr. Eric Saulo.
The chief speaker was Dr. James McFie who gave an interesting talk on the importance of implementing the Strathmore Spirit when they go to the world out there. He explained to them the importance of professionalism in the workplace and give graphical examples from his experience over the years.
The students cut a cake to commemorate their good times at the university and in the vote of thanks promised to be involved in university and alumni activities.
