G-United (Kenya National Graduate Volunteers Programme) Recruitment

The G-United new text(1) (1)The Greatness United Program (G-United) is a prestigious one year national volunteering programme initiated by the Presidency and implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and technology with technical support by Evidence Action.

The program is striving to be recognized as Kenya’s foremost programme for inspiring, empowering and unifying a nation of greatness by focusing on promoting national cohesion; creating enriching opportunities for youths and strengthening primary education outcomes.

G-United recruits recent university graduates, trains and deploys them to the counties where they are allocated a homestay and attached to a primary school from where they run their volunteer activities.

The first cohort of 140 volunteers have completed their volunteer period whose climax was a career fair attended by among others, Dr. Manu Chandaria, Mr. Joshua Oigara (CEO KCB), Ms Ada Eze (CEO Total Kenya), Mr.

Nick Nesbitt (CEO IBM) and Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi. Many volunteers got interview appointments some of whom have already gotten jobs as a result of their interactions in the fair.

Currently, we are recruiting for second cohort in which we look forward to enrolling 300 graduate volunteers. We’d therefore wish to share this opportunity among Strathmore University’s recent graduates (and those awaiting graduation).
