The Class of 2005 held a re-union dinner on Thursday 17th 2015, marking a decade since they (Strathmore’s first undergraduate class) received the ‘power to read’.
The attendants were addressed by the Dean of students, Mr. Paul Ochieng, who remembered them by name. He recollected some of the glorious moments and challenges that the university had with its first undergraduate class.
The master of ceremonies was John K’Otieno, who coincidentally was MC in most of the class events as a student!
Two representatives from each class, BBIT and BCOM had a chance to address the attendants. These were Geoffrey Koech and Leonard Njiru. They shared memorable experiences with the group.
Among the faculty present included Dr. Beatrice Dimba and Mr. Bradley Kisia.
The class also proposed towards raising fund that can pay for a full scholarship for one student every year.
