Alumna succeeds in the distribution business

Anne Hazel Njoki is a distributor of Farmer’s choice products in Nairobi and its environs. Her company, Farmtex Stockists, distributing Farmer’s choice unique products that are not available in retail stores, to corporate cafeterias, hotels and individual homes.

Hazel is an alumna of Strathmore University, where she studied Bachelor of Science in Leadership Management (BLM). Additionally Hazel believes that the course she undertook prepares a person to work in the areas of general management and its structured to reflect changes taking place in internal and external environments, hence being relevant in what she is currently doing.

Her career began in the investment sector; with Sterling Investment Bank, where she participated in the Safaricom IPO that took place in the year 2008. After a period of changing jobs from one organisation to another, she decided to start her own company by the name Farmtex.

Hazel also credits Strathmore University for preparing her to start her own business, through the units that she took as a student such as entrepreneurship and ethics that she applies in her own business, which is an important aspect in having a successful business.
