Quality Enhancement Process
Quality in teaching and teaching is enhanced through
- Student module leaders
The Module Leaders.
- Will act as a link between the students and lecturers.
- Will be elected by the students of their class.
- Will represent one unit each(a unit being subjects/courses offered in a faculty).
- Will take note of any complaints/praises brought forward by either students or lectures and write a report about them every fort night.
The structure of the report shall be a short summary of:
- The lecture atmosphere
- Challenges and benefits
- Library provisions
- Course documents
- Student learning experience
- Recommendations on the way forward.
This report should be handed in to the class representative.
Module leaders shall report to class representatives who will compile reports from the module leaders reports. The class representative reports shall comprise of an
- introduction,
- body and
- remarks (and shall not exceed one page. )
The class representatives shall be required to attach authentic signed copies of the module leaders’ reports on their reports.
Thereafter the class representatives shall table their reports to the student council for scrutiny and approval. The student council shall then provide copies of all the reports to the faculty administrators and faculty managers.
Feedback
Upon receipt of all reports feedback shall be expected within five working days (including Saturday as a working day).
All module leaders are expected to meet with the lectures at least once every two weeks.
