The case method is by far, considered to be the most powerful way to learn the skills of management and leadership. This is evidenced by the number of great organisational managers and leaders top business schools have produced over the years.

For three years now, Strathmore University lecturers were being trained to teach and write business cases. In 2005, six of our staff members went to Johannesburg, South Africa for TPM 1. In 2006, another batch of six lecturers went to Lagos, Nigeria for TPM 2. In the same year, Dr. Kiraka and Dr. Acosta were sent to Harvard Business School to attend CPCL. This year, 2007, seven of our staff members will be going back to Johannesburg, South Africa to attend TPM 3. Two of them will be trained as Case Mentors.

Strathmore faculty are prolific producers of business cases. In 2005, twelve MSME cases were developed by the original batch of case writers under the direction of Prof. Lluis Renart of IESE Business School. In 2006, twelve MSME cases were again targeted.
