A candidate must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements;

Either:

1.1 Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English

Or

1.2 Be a holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and one subsidiary pass, and a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE

Or

1.3 Be a holder of diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the Academic Council of the University

1.4 Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the Academic Council of the University as equivalent to any of the above.

Candidates who hold any of the qualifications 1.3 or 1.4 above may, at the discretion of the Academic Council, with recommendations from the Faculty Board, be exempted from some course units. In additions, a candidate registered in another university recognized by the Academic Council may be allowed to transfer credit to the programme. The maximum number of courses to be exempted or given credit transfer shall not exceed 50% of the total required course units for the whole programme. Possession of the minimum requirement does not guarantee automatic admission to the university.

Candidates of Holders of IB Diploma shall have a minimum aggregate of 5 in IB qualifications and shall not be exempted from any units.
