There are two Study Centres:
Keri Study Centre
Keri Study Centre provides a conducive environment where women students, mostly from the University may study. It should be noted, however, that students not only study but also carry out certain activities as organised by the director of the Centre. Other activities include:
- Talks and seminars on many aspects of life.
- Excursions
- Spiritual formation through weekly meditations (on Saturdays), monthly recollections (on the third Saturday of the month), etc.
- Personal development classes
- French and Spanish classes
- Retreats that are partly subsidised by the University.
- Get-togethers every Saturday afternoon, or as otherwise scheduled.
- Movies
The students of Keri also celebrate birthdays of the members. You are more than welcome to join in the activities.
Mbagathi Study Centre
Mbagathi Study Centre adjoins the University and offers a conducive study environment; it is for the use of the male students of
the University. Apart from being a study centre, it houses some of the staff of the University and offers various facilities such as:
- A video library
- A reading library
- Study room
- Chapel
- Sitting and get-together room
Activities
Various activities are arranged for the students to get to know each other outside a classroom environment as well as increase their general knowledge.
- Spiritual guidance and formation is offered. There is a meditation on Friday and Saturday afternoon followed by a get-together with a guest speaker. On the first Saturday afternoon of the month, an afternoon of recollection is held.
- Every Saturday afternoon there is a Public Speaking training session and once a month Cine Forum, in which a classic movie is introduced and screened, followed by a discussion.
- Weekend Retreats are regularly organised in Tigoni which give students a chance to think about God and their own lives.
- Talks, especially Career talks, are arranged for the students.
The Centre also runs a project for street children at Mitumba slums at weekends to teach them how to read and write.
The spiritual formation at both Keri Study Centre and Mbagathi Study Centre is entrusted to the prelature of Opus Dei.
