Prof Izael Da Silva, the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs completed the 2011 Stanchart marathon in 4 hours and 9 minutes. It was the first attempt at a full marathon for the 51 year-old scholar. He is now spearheading efforts to start a running and fitness club at the University.

The Student Council will host the first students and alumni Business Enterprise Fair on Friday, 27th January 2012 at the University’s Graduation Square and auditorium. The aim of the initiative is to promote entrepreneurship among students, and boost their investment knowledge...

Gladiators, the University’s men hockey team was named the University sports team of the year 2011 at the sports and clubs award gala held on Thursday, 19th January. Veteran rally driver Azar Anwar was the chief guest at the event held in the auditorium.

The Community Outreach Program (COP) started the year on a high when on Saturday, 14th January, it visited Happy Life Children's Home in Kasarani, a refuge for children abandoned by their parents. The children were very happy to receive COP members!

In yet another move towards increasing access to its programs, Strathmore has partnered with KIVA, a web-based micro-lending institution to offer low-interest tuition and laptops loans to students. Strathmore is Kiva’s pioneer partner in the field of higher education loans.
